Ever since I can remember I have wanted to go to Japan… to Tokyo, Kioto… the list is never-ending. But the plan was never to do this trip on a low budget, as there are too many entrancing sights, food, places to stay and so forth to explore. Maybe soon! Other than that my wish list has not changed. And that is a good thing.

This is a selection of images I have saved on Instagram. A lot of Saks Potts, the sassy Danish brand that went through rebranding last year, a bit of interior and some floral inspiration. Piaule seems to be the new favorite vacay spot of my New York friends. And I agree it looks damn nice!

It is snowing or raining or whatever outside - typical weather in Helsinki in late February. Hence, I’ just rather clue my eyes to the images I took in Australia last year. Tropics always elevate my mood. Anyway, this is a selection of images I have saved on Instagram.

Sometimes great minds think alike, or that is what I thought, when saw Elin Kling post her gardening inspiration on IG. Actually, I should really blame Charlotte Lewis, whose stories are filled with images from the English countryside. I have also spent a fair amount of time watching Jane Austen films amidst the lockdown. One of the many things I miss from my university years is the beauty of the British countryside. Once the pandemic is over, my first destination will be London, as I really miss my friends and I wish to satisfy my garden fewer. Though, I am not planning on getting that into gardening any time soon - I have spent this week planting trees. Yeah you got it right... the pleasures of country life are vast.

One of the positive outcomes of the current situation is the time we have to feel inspired. I am an escapist by nature, so finding ways to get distracted comes naturally to me. Of course, it is vital to accept the limited nature of life at present, but I still believe a bit of distraction never hurt anyone.
I just made this mood board, as I have been loving Pernille’s low-key looks lately. I am trying to get my hands on the New Balance 860v2 sneakers, which seem to be impossible to find. Any clues?

For a millennial like myself the turn of the decade definitely feels like a new era. I have felt slightly stagnant in life for a while, so I have decided it is about time I make some big changes! To be continued… but lets just say for now the mood for 2020 is what I have longing for.

Here’s a five minute mood board that presents sartorial ideas for the season and might inspire you to book a vacation in the Mediterranean. I would not mind, though I have two family weddings coming up later this year – in Atlanta and New Zealand. That has changed my holiday plans. But I did order the flip flops in the end… cannot wait!
