The Row Winter 2024

Hanna Kovanen

The dreamy Margaux bag.

So this is The Row’s winter - or resort if you like - 2024 collection.

This season the ultra-chic brand opted for asking their guests to refrain from taking any piccies at the show. The forever question is did you attend the show, if you cannot share to your web audience that you did. But I think that also was kind of chic. I was in my twenties when Instagram came about, and the era before feels rather nostalgic and definitely more brain-friendly. And it should be enough to know that you did. I surely did not, of course. But I am happy for those who did.

I also want to add that in this era of oversharing, sharing not so much or maintaining a level of mystery is fresh. It is ironic, of course, that I have a blogging background and still write occasionally. But I am rather conscious of where I draw the line and I find oversharing personal matters a bit tacky.

Anyhow, the collection looks good. I love the decor pieces (like in the second piccie) that have been used to create the mood for the pictures that were, by the way, shot on film, and to create a world around the brand. Mary-Kate and Ahsley surely know how to do that. Also, great accessories here and there: the jewellery and the classic Margaux bag. Should have bought it before the price has skyrocketed!

De Vera

Jewelry by De Vera available upon request at The Row. Gorgeous! I have always loved unique, vintage-inspired pieces. And I just recently rewatched the Lord of the Rings (who doesn’t at least once a year?). My eyes caught the beautiful pieces of jewelry worn by Éowyn. Next time you watch, pay close attention!

Phoebe Philo

Note: these pictures are from the second drop.

A bit over one week ago, on the 30th of October, Phoebe Philo launched her eponymous label. It might well be the most anticipated fashion brand ever? Philo is a cult for sure and, admittedly, the only second hand treasures I have sourced over the years are from her Céline era.

Anyhow, I have received so many questions regarding my thoughts on the first drop. After a couple of days, it is easy to say that I like it. But pay attention here; you won’t have the time to ponder on whether you like something or not, as these pieces sell out in less than twenty-four hours. So trust your gut. The drop is very Phoebe, maybe more raw and sexy than during her Céline tenure. However, it contains pieces I am not that into, such as the zip trousers, but that may as well me my own taste. But what’s good is damn good. The leather jackets are great, I love this shirt and I am happy to see Daria!

440ME

440ME is a fun new brand that launched today. I have been consulting or helping them out with little things here and there, and I have been wearing their clothes happily for a couple of months now. So watch this space!

Endless Colonnade

The latest collection by the best of the best - Sophie Bille Brahe.

“Endless Colonnade” presents some of Sophie’s most iconic pieces reworked like the tennis necklace with Collier d’Ocean Royale here worn by Iselin Steiro.

Oldie But Goldie

Hanna Kovanen

This look is from Bottega Veneta’s Spring 2023 collection. It is still pretty much the only look on my mind, even though I have browsed through the spring 2024 set. I love the colours and contrasts of this dress. It also has a timeless feel while being fun. Mathhie Blazy’s work at Bottega is stunning. That is all I really have to say. Philo’s returning, of course, which I am super stokes about, but it also makes me a tiny bit nervous. I really hope she can pull it off!

Spring Coats

Hanna Kovanen

I haven’t bought a coat in ages apart from some hiking clothes and one second-hand TOTEME (when did they rebrand their name?) from the early days of the brand in 2021. But I have quietly been crushing over these two classic pieces by Saks Potts. Namely, the Solvej trench and the Amalie leather coat, here worn by the brand’s model and muse Rosemarie Vind.

Check out their FW23 collection here.

Corali

Hanna Kovanen

Swan Collier.

It is almost 5pm on a Friday afternoon so lets keep this introduction short.

Corali Jewelry is a Danish brand, founded by architect Caroline Sillesen. Her jewelry obviously has that sculptural edge and the vibe is timeless but also very now. I think the creative direction of the brand has taken a step forward recently. Also my old friend Maria runs their PR. Keep your eyes fixed on what they do! I should also emphasize that all pieces are handmade in Copenhagen. Their Swan Collier and Lago necklace are on my wish list.

The Row Summer 2023

Hanna Kovanen

Some images from The Row’s Summer 2023 collection presented in Paris. The new Winter 2023 collection has also been released but I am a bit behind. And, as I am currently in Auckland, New Zealand, the summer vibes feels right. Though, it has been raining and the city is flooded, so I suppose I am ready for 30+ hours in transit. See you soon Europe.

Hi all! Just letting you that after a lot of hard work (full-time job and university - just don’t do it, period) comes the play. And they play in this case means these pants from The Row. I set my eyes on them the second I saw The Row’s outstanding Spring 2021 collection. I know some people over at Sourcewhere, an upcoming sourcing site for sold out items, and they helped me out. I am not sure, if you can see the site yet because I am one of their beta testers, but just wait a week or two. It is brilliant!
