Céline Pre-Fall 2018

Hanna Kovanen

The final treat; As you know, Céline’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection was designed by a team, but Phoebe was there to influence the Pre-Fall collection which is about to hit stores. And there’s so much to be liked, starting with these pumps…

The Row Pre-Fall

Hanna Kovanen

Firstly, The Row’s Pre-Fall 2018 looks great – it creates temptation and fashion trades in temptation. But a whole always boils down to the subtle nuances, which really matter, like the fact that Georgina Grenville models the collection.

At 42 Georgina has lived through the supermodel era of the 90s, has a family and many passions in her life beyond fashion. Therefore, she convincingly looks the part of a woman who wears The Row head-to-tow in real life. A woman who is intelligent and mindful and picks her clothes carefully, so that there is time left for more important things.Though I might be a little obsessed with her because she looks the way I want to look like at her age, lol.

And the bags look pretty tasty!

Céline AW18

Hanna Kovanen

That’s it ladies, the last collection before the new Céline under Hedi Slimane.

I was joking about only buying Céline in 2018 with Elina Grothén, STYLEBY’s Web Editor. That is when she pointed out it would mean no Totême for me. Tragic! But I am still planning to splurge on a couple of pieces. Phoebe has a created an independent, careless and, above all, impeccably dressed woman who inspires me immensely. Who I want to be.

I love the look above and, oh well, all of the looks from the AW18 collection. It’s in the details, shoes, fabrics, colour combinations, jewellery were the gems can be found. According to my understanding, this collection was designed by Céline’s studio team as a tribute Phoebe.

The Row AW18

The Row’s strong (lets just say to die for) collection was presented at their headquarters. It seems art is that lit backdrop which creates a chic context this season – the Olsen twins decorated the space with rarely seen art pieces by none other than Isamu Noguchi. Spot on!

But back to the collection. It is for the sharp, working woman who wants a well curated wardrobe that is understated and conveniently available. That is the Phoebe Philo approach, but since we will loose her chic wardrobe basics very soon, we can just agree on where to head next. I also fancy the boots which go straight to my infamous wish list!

Fall Manolos

Hanna Kovanen

There are two things I want to get right every season – the bag and shoes. Twice a year. I really don’t need more even though I have cravings. In the fall I want to sleek boots from Manolo Blahnik like these boots seen at Totême’s AW18 presentation. Already saving up!

Totême AW18

Hanna Kovanen

I am writing highlights for STYLEBY.nu after each day from Stockholm FW. Here’s my view on Totême:

”Totême’s second, very exclusive display was held at Bukowskis, a Nordic auction house, and the set featured sculptures by two Swedish artists, Eric Grate and Eva Lange, creating a chic context for equally stylish clothes. It might be Elin Kling and Karl Lindman’s strongest collection so far highlighting sculptural shapes paired up with sleek leggings and denims. To reach the elegance and sophistication of the Totême woman you might want to add to your shopping list the grey skirt, one of the puffy jackets, and it seems furry scarves will be a must-have in the fall as well as a denim jacket, witch was a first for the brand. The uniform was enhanced by shoes from Manolo Blahnik – as said, style in context at its best.”

So it seems that my shopping list for the fall has just begun to take shape, literally sculptural shape, and I might want to invest in more Manolos. Maybe boots… Love this collection so much – congrats Elin! x

WARDROBE.NYC

Hanna Kovanen

WARDROBE.NYC is the latest brand to follow; started by Christine Centenera, the Fashion Director of Vogue Australia, and Josh Goot as an anti-fashion movement the brand has been built around sets of four and eight essential pieces. Love the deeper meaning behind the brand and the slit trousers in particular on my latest model crush, Charlee Fraser, for Vogue. Chic!

Céline Selection

Feeling CÈLINE’s Pre-Spring collection? Hell yes.

First of all, I am in love the with the India inspired golden hoops. Bang. Secondly, more beautiful jewellery and bright, beautiful colours, and the shoes to have next season. I’d have them all, thanks.

Céline Resort 2018

Hanna Kovanen

CÈLINE’s resort collection is out!

All I can think of are those red heels in the picture above. Bravo! Otherwise the collection follows a familiar pattern; a lot of power dressing, chic lace dresses and new sunglasses. Nothing wrong with that as the recipe obviously works.

I’ve started at a new job, so I am actually managing a couple of jobs at once. Hence I haven’t been present here for a couple of days, but that is just a natural part of the process. The funny thing is that since I’ve become a woking woman, literally in a matter of two months, the way I approach getting dressed has begun to evolve – before I could go to a lecture wearing leggings and whatever was within my reach, but now I need to look presentable and kind of dress the part on daily basis. I need clothes to get by, as Phoebe puts it. So lets just stop for a moment to appreciate CÈLINE’s SS18 collection. If I could choose I’d take them all and I’d be be sorted for a long while. Already saving up the hard-earned dollars.

The German beauty, Julia Stegner, wearing a suit by Wendelborn. If I could choose, this is the perfect kind of power dressing to kick off the week in the right manner, would you agree?

Details At Céline

Hanna Kovanen

I had fixed drinks with one of my fashion partners in crime, Petra Koivisto, for last night. She turned up wearing the softest red scarf, similar to this one from CÈLINE, which instantly stole my attention. Instant cravings, no? I’ve talked about the brand’s Fall 2017 before, but I cannot help it – I am also lusting after these statement earrings to add something special to my fall wardrobe.
